Jacek Petrycki

Jacek Petrycki – Polish cinematographer and director and screenwriter.
He has worked with prominent Polish directors, including Agnieszka Holland, Krzysztof Kieślowski, Ryszard Bugajski, Robert Gliński, as well as British directors Dan Reed, Brian Stirner. For his cinematography in “Guenese Yolculuk” (“Journey to the Sun”), directed by Yesim Ustaoglu, he was awarded the Grand Prix Golden Camera 300 at the 20th MF of Cinematographers “Manaki Brothers”, Bitola 1999 (Macedonia) and nominated for the European Film Award 1999. At the MF of the Art of Cinematography “Plus Camerimage”, Lodz 2008, he received the Main Award in the Polish Films Competition for his cinematography in “Homeless People’s Field”.
He collaborated with Krzysztof Kieślowski, Marcel Łoziński, Tomasz Zygadła on documentaries.
Winner of BAFTA tv (1996) for his cinematography in Clive Gordon’s “The Betrayed”, Royal TV Society Award (1999) for Dan Reed’s “The Valley”, Discovery Networks Central Europe Award in the Short Documentary Films Competition at the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography “Plus Camerimage”, Łódź 2009 for Marcel Łoziński’s “Poste restante”. Awarded several times at the Krakow Film Festival. He has made several documentaries.
