Irena Strzałkowska


Graduated in economics from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGPiS). In 1974-1981, she worked in Paris as attaché at the Permanent Representation of Poland to UNESCO. Later she worked at the Office of the Cinematography Committee as deputy director of the Organizational and Legal Department, where she was responsible for promoting Polish films abroad. Since 1990, deputy director of the Tor Film Studio. In parallel, since 1991 she has also been Poland’s representative in – operating under the auspices of the Council of Europe – the Eurimages Fund. Since 2019, Vice President of the Board of the National Chamber of Audiovisual Producers (KIPA). Member of the Polish Film Academy and the European Film Academy (EFA).
